• Leaky, abandoned or wrongly decommissioned above-ground storage tanks (AST) or underground storage tanks (UST) for petrol or diesel and associated bowsers are a threat to the environment and a risk to your business.
• ​Regulatory authorities require that all redundant tanks be decommissioned, removed and disposed of legally and correctly. If you have an AST or UST, you should have them removed as soon as possible to ensure compliance. All tanks will eventually leak, and it is an offence to pollute the environment.
• The Australian standard, AS 4976-2008 – The removal and disposal of underground petroleum storage tanks provides guidance and direction on dealing with the problem. Each state has slightly different regulations regarding removing petrol and diesel tanks, but the intention is the same.

Fully licensed and compliant tank removal.

• We have an extensive and proven track record in the remediation of contaminated sites, and we hold a demolition licence for tank removal as required by WorkCover. The licence covers the removal of both underground and above-ground storage tanks.
• Moore Management has successfully removed over 500 leaking or redundant underground storage tanks across Australia. • Above ground, tanks can be safely removed after completing all the correct procedures. Although there may be no extensive excavation, the soil below and around the tank may require remediation, especially if the product has been spilt during operation or leaked into the environment.
